We do not require you to create an account to browse events. We do not sell tickets directly — ticket purchases happen on third-party sites such as Skiddle, Eventbrite, Ticketmaster, Notion Tickets, Fatsoma, TicketSource, Trillians, See Tickets, Resident Advisor, and The Stand when you follow a listing link.
Newcastle Gig Guide aggregates public event listings from Skiddle, Eventbrite, Ticketmaster, Notion Tickets, Fatsoma, TicketSource, the Trillians gig guide, See Tickets (via Awin), Resident Advisor, and The Stand Comedy Club Newcastle. Some outbound ticket links include affiliate tracking so we may earn a commission if you buy tickets after following a link from this site. This does not change the price you pay on the ticket seller's site.
Information we collect
Event listings. We store and display publicly available event data (titles, venues, dates, prices, images, and ticket links) sourced from third-party platforms and public gig guides. This information is not personal data about you.
Outbound ticket clicks. When you tap "Get tickets", we redirect you through our /go/ route to the official listing. That redirect may add affiliate parameters for Skiddle, Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, See Tickets (via Awin), or selected Fatsoma rep links where configured. We do not receive your payment details.
Website analytics. Our website uses Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example, pages viewed and general usage patterns). Google may set cookies or similar technologies. You can learn more in Google's privacy policy.
Affiliate measurement. We load Impact tracking on the website to measure eligible outbound links to Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, and related partners. See Tickets links may be served through Awin tracking URLs from our product feed.
Mobile app. The app reads event data from our database to show listings. We do not ask for your name, email, or location unless you choose to grant location permission to your device for map features — we do not send your location to our servers.
Server logs. Our hosting providers may record standard technical information (such as IP address, browser or app version, and request timestamps) for security and reliability.
How we use information

- Keep listings up to date through automated sync from source platforms
- Send visitors to official ticket listings, including affiliate-tracked links
- Improve the website and app based on aggregated usage
- Protect the service against abuse and technical failures

When you leave our site or app to buy tickets, the ticket seller's privacy policy applies to that transaction.
Cookies and similar technologies
The website may use cookies or local storage for analytics and affiliate measurement. Third-party ticket sites will set their own cookies when you leave our site to complete a purchase. You can control cookies through your browser settings and use Google's opt-out tools linked below.
Data retention
Event listings are refreshed regularly and outdated events are removed from our database. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings. Server logs are retained for a limited period by our hosting providers.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or EEA, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we do not operate user accounts, we typically hold little or no personal data about individual visitors. For analytics data held by Google, you can use Google's opt-out tools.
Children
Our service is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
